Backstory
A Maryland native, Dr. Bracho was born and raised in the Washington D.C. metro area. He attended St. Lawrence University, where he received his undergraduate degree in neuroscience. In addition to academics, Dr. Bracho was an All-League player for the St. Lawrence University football team. Dr. Bracho attended the University of Maryland Dental School where he received his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2012. He was a participant in the university’s Oral Surgery Clerkship. Through this opportunity, Dr. Bracho was able to gain advanced knowledge and experience in surgical procedures and extractions. He was an active member of Gamma Pi Delta, a prosthodontics honor society.
Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Bracho has completed a Digital Smile Design Residency at New York University, learning to implement the cutting edge of digital cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Bracho greatly furthered his expertise in Dental Implantology, taking the American Academy of Implant Dentistry(A.A.I.D.) MAXI course, a 10-month continuum of implant-specific education held at NOVA Southeastern University. His Fellowship with the International Academy of Laser Dentistry, and LANAP Protocol Certification, allows Dr. Bracho to treat patients suffering from periodontal disease in a proven method with unseen results. To help patients with obstructive sleep apnea and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Bracho utilizes his course training with AADSM (American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine) on Mandibular Advancement Devices. Dr. Bracho’s extended course work includes training in Invisalign and Propel accelerated orthodontics. Dr. Bracho completed a comprehensive program in parenteral conscious sedation, to gain certification in sedation dentistry. This mini-residency was completed at the St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in conjunction with the Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences. The coursework and certifications allow Dr. Bracho to perform oral and IV sedation for his nervous and fearful patients. Additionally, he has studied at the Dawson Academy for TMJ and occlusion treatments.
Dr. Bracho is a standing member of the A.A.I.D., A.A.C.D., Dr. Bracho has committed to the accreditation process for the A.A.C.D. and A.A.I.D. He is also certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. He has studied with Dawson Academy, Spear Education, Digital Smile Design, and with Christian Coachman.
When not practicing his passion for dentistry, he can be found spending time with his golden retriever Griz and shetland sheepdog Brooklyn; or fishing with his family in the 10,000 Islands.
