Naples Invisalign
Why put up with conventional braces when you can straighten your teeth in half the time with clear aligners? Orthodontic treatment with aligners like Invisalign or SureSmile can quickly and discreetly resolve crowding, spacing, or bite issues, often in as little as 6 to 12 months! At Naples General & Cosmetic Dentistry, we prefer SureSmile, which improves upon the Invisalign model, providing quicker results at a lower fee.
Advantages of Clear Aligners (Like Invisalign or SureSmile)

Treatment with clear aligners—like Invisalign or SureSmile—is comfortable and convenient. For one thing, you won’t have to worry about rubbing your tongue, lip, or cheek against a sharp bracket. For another, you can plan on fewer orthodontic visits, as you’ll be able to change out many of your aligners at home.
Conditions We Treat
SureSmile aligners can be used to treat a full range of orthodontic concerns related to tooth placement, including:
- Gaps
- Crowding
- Crooked teeth
- Bite issues (overbite, underbite, crossbite, open bite)
Keep in mind that no single treatment is appropriate in all cases. Some bite problems are related to jaw placement and require a different form of treatment. Traditional braces may be more suitable in cases of severe crowding and for patients who can’t commit to keeping their aligners in. As always, we’ll evaluate your unique situation and recommend the best treatment for you.
SureSmile vs. Invisalign
Like Invisalign, SureSmile is a brand of clear orthodontic aligners. As far as appearance, there isn’t much noticeable difference between the two brands; the aligners themselves have a similar look and feel. But when it comes to results, SureSmile seems to offer a distinct advantage over other brands. One study showed that on average, SureSmile cases were completed 3 months earlier than Invisalign cases. More efficient alignment means fewer appointments and faster results for you! On top of that, SureSmile also charges lower laboratory fees, which can make treatment more affordable.
Our Process
The SureSmile process is very similar to that of Invisalign. We’ll start with a comprehensive oral exam, including x-rays, to determine the right treatment for you. If Dr. Bracho or Dr. Keller recommends clear aligners, our next step will be to take detailed impressions of your teeth and send them to SureSmile. Then, your treatment will be mapped out from beginning to end, and anywhere from 12 to 48 clear aligners will be created to gradually shift your teeth over a period of 6-12 months.
When you put in your first aligner, you’ll notice that it is tight and doesn’t fit properly. This is perfect, actually. Wearing the aligner the recommended amount of time per day (at least 20-22 hours) will cause your teeth to shift into a new position. Two weeks later, it will be time for the next aligner. This process will repeat for the duration of your treatment, with intermittent follow-up visits to examine your progress and give you the next set of aligners.
