What Can I Expect On My First Visit?
“I had a good experience at my first appointment! The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made check-in easy. The hygienist had a good bedside manner, checked in on me throughout the cleaning, and worked quickly without compromising quality.” — Lacey McKee
We’re Glad to Have You!
Welcome! Here’s a look at what to expect on your first visit.
Prior to Your Visit
As a new patient, you’ll have some paperwork to fill out before your first appointment. You can fill it out ahead of time here. If you would rather complete it in our office, please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early.
Upon Your Arrival
When you enter our office, you’ll be greeted by our front desk staff. They’ll direct you to our reception area, where you can await your appointment. If you haven’t yet submitted your paperwork, we’ll offer you the option of filling it out by hand or electronically. When it’s time for your appointment, you’ll be called back to one of our exam rooms.
Exam & Cleaning
First, we’ll take a complete set of x-rays and photographs. Then, Dr. Bracho or Dr. Keller will perform a comprehensive exam, which includes a check for gum disease and oral cancer. After your exam, we’ll schedule your cleaning. If possible, we’ll schedule it to follow directly after your exam. Together, the exam and cleaning take about two hours. To keep you comfortable, we offer blankets upon request.
