Naples Dental Bonding and 3D Printed Veneers

Ready to restore, renew, or enhance your smile? You can get it done in a single appointment at Naples General & Cosmetic Dentistry! Repair small defects with our traditional dental bonding, or achieve a smile makeover with our 3D-printed veneers. Dr. Robert Bracho both have advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, and our office is also equipped with the latest technology and materials.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a conservative treatment for minor smile imperfections such as gaps, chips, or irregularities in color or shape. In this treatment, we use composites to re-create the ideal aesthetics of the tooth. In the photos below, notice how seamlessly the patient’s tooth was restored with dental bonding.

Dental Bonding Process

Here’s how it works:

First, Dr. Bracho or Dr. Keller prepares the tooth for bonding by gently roughening and etching its surface. After applying the bonding resin, they begin layering the composites, a process that involves great artistic detail. When finished, the restored tooth possesses all the aesthetic properties of a completely natural tooth, including light reflectivity and variations in color and translucency. Dr. Bracho or Dr. Keller skillfully apply multiple composites of different shades and translucencies to create a beautiful tooth that’s true to nature.

After the composites are added, a curing light is used to harden them. Finally, the tooth is polished until it gives off a natural, glossy shine.

Same-Day Smile Makeovers with 3D-Printed Veneers

Dental bonding can also be used to give you a complete smile makeover. A fast and convenient way to do this would be with 3D-printed veneers. This advanced technology uses a composite that has a particularly dense concentration of ceramic. Dr. Bracho or Dr. Keller will create a wax mock-up of a new smile for you, scan that and feed the scan into the 3D printer along with a scan of your existing teeth, and it will produce a set of veneers to bond to your teeth.

Because of the savings in time and labor, 3D-printed veneers cost about half of what porcelain veneers cost. Plus there is no need for temporaries.

Composite Veneers

Veneers are thin wafers placed over the surfaces of your teeth to give them an entirely new look. In our practice, we offer veneers made of either porcelain or composite (a blend of materials which contains a high ceramic content). Whereas our porcelain veneers are baked in a laboratory by a master ceramist, our composite veneers are fabricated in our office by our state-of-the-art 3D-printer. This allows us to design, print, and place them in a single appointment, offering you the most efficient smile makeover imaginable! Plus, at half the cost of porcelain veneers, 3D-printed composite veneers provide a cost-effective option for reinventing your smile that can be completed in a single morning or afternoon.

Printed Composite Veneers Process

First, Dr. Bracho or Dr. Keller takes impressions of your smile to produce a physical or digital model of your teeth. Then a wax mock-up of your new smile design is created for your approval. Once the design is settled, you are ready for your veneer appointment.

If any preparation of your teeth is required, that is then completed and a digital scan of your teeth is sent to our 3D printer, the SprintRay Midas. It’s the only one of its kind that can provide such quick results: each veneer printed within 3-7 minutes!

Dr. Bracho or Dr. Keller will place the veneers with a try-in paste to give you a chance to try them out before bonding. When you’re certain that you love them, he’ll bond them on, and you can get on with enjoying your new smile!
