Fort Myers ClearChoice Dental Implants Reviews
ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers is a corporate network of dental clinics specializing in implant treatment with locations across the United States. Although each center is independently owned, they are collectively managed by ClearChoice Management Services.
If you’re considering dental implants, you may have looked into the Fort Myers ClearChoice or one of the other Florida locations and found some positive reviews. However, there have been a number of reports of lawyers representing ClearChoice using intimidation and other tactics to try to squelch negative reviews. In spite of that, there have been numerous negative reviews across multiple ClearChoice centers. Comments from dissatisfied patients mention price discrepancies (what was charged versus what was quoted), high-pressure sales tactics, communication disconnects, and problems with temporary teeth.
Some ClearChoice centers in Florida have had complaints filed against them through the Better Business Bureau (BBB). On TrustPilot, a review platform, over 65% of ClearChoice reviewers from across the country gave the company a rating of 1 out of 5. Here we’ve compiled some complaints and reviews, some from online sources and others received through email directly from ClearChoice patients.

St. Petersburg ClearChoice: May 8, 2025
“I have been trying to make an appt with Clear Choice in [removed] for a couple of weeks now. My Dental records were sent from [removed] last week and was received at the [removed] Fl office. In calling earlier this week to make an appt. I was still unsuccessful and was informed that they needed additional information from [removed] office. I have placed at least phone calls between both offices trying to get this done. Twice the St Petersburg office stated they would call me back in which that did not happen. Yesterday I called Clear Choice in [removed], over 50 times with no answer. I believe they deliberately ignored my phone calls as my phone number most likely showed up. I just wanted to schedule an appt for a cleaning as it has been [removed] and one should get a cleaning once a year. I have been a patient of Clear Choice since 2018. I have never had such a problem scheduling an appt with Clear Choice until now. I have done everything I was suppose to do, i.e. contact the [removed] filling out the necessary form of medical release records. I contacted both offices by phone to make sure the release forms were sent (which it was and my dental records were sent and received between both offices). However, I still cannot receive an appt with St Petersburg office. Now I have a problem with my Implants and need to be seen as soon as possible at this point. I just want and need a cleaning which is my right as a patient of Clear Choice.”
Tampa ClearChoice: November 28, 2023
“Date of transaction, 10/27/2023. I paid the business $54,000 for dental implants. The nature of my dispute is that I cancelled everything on 10/30/2023. I didn’t want to go through with it, so I called the loan officer and told them to cancel the loan and I called the credit card company to cancel also. Clear choice said they would send the money back to the loan company and the credit card company. They didn’t do that, now they won’t answer the phone and the payments are due. I only had an examination and a free consultation I didn’t get any teeth. Now both companies are wanting me to make payments.”
Jacksonville ClearChoice: March 28, 2023
“On March 15th 2022 I had a consultation with clear choice dental. At the end of the consultation spoke with [removed] she Persuaded me into making a $1000 deposit for a smile design. If I paid the 1000.00 I could get in for a smile design quickly, after getting financing. She informed me that if i did not pay the 1000.00 on that day, it might be quite a wait when i decided to make the appointment. I was assured if I couldn’t get financing for the dental implants or changed my mind I could at any time get a refund. I could not get financing and a family member passed away. I called to inform [removed] that I would need my deposit back. She assured me it would be sent. After waiting a month , called her back and she assured me it had been sent. Never received it. Now 9 months later and numerous phone call with promises that it will be sent and numerous promises that my calls would be returned I am still waiting on my 1000.00 refund.”
Tampa ClearChoice: February 24, 2023
“What I was told in the initial free consultation changed complete when I had my 2nd appt. I cancelled the procedure & requested a refund of my $1000 deposit on February 21, 2023. I was told the refund would be processed that day.I have sent 3 emails regarding my refund without any response from anyone.”

“Broke off three teeth in less than 2 weeks. Clear Choice now want to charge 400 USD PER TOOTH !
June 19 broke one
July 24 broke another
Aug 1 broke one more
Aug 11 broke two in one day
Defective ?? Looking at 12K for going with the new material has a warranty. Seems like I should get a discount being at Clear Choice customer for 10 years.
Clear choice fixed the 3 broken teeth at NO charge , If I purchased the new design of teeth at 14K.” — Phillip Bennett, August 2025
“The office staff has been amazing but I’ve paid 64K over a year and a half ago and I’m still not done. They have changed DRs multiple times. I’m am a medically retired disabled Army veteran of 26 years so there were some concerns with my first two DRs about anesthesia so it’s was thought best that I had tests done prior to the procedure and not be put fully under. Everything went great but it was only the tops. So then the bottom s came up and no tests????? So I showed up bright and early for the procedure for the bottoms and found a new DR, and anesthesiologist with the bed side manner of a brick!!!!! So I explained everything and was still put fully under against my recommendations and wishes. I woke up groggy and sick and immediately in pain with extreme bleeding and swelling. It was infested with bone spurs and exposed bone. It took two weeks of meds and a follow up just to be in minimal pain. They didn’t fit right and were very loose. Another follow up to fix that. Then last night they broke eating a gummy cherry….wtf? So I called the help line and was told I would receive a callback in 20-30 min. 7 calls later and 14 hours later I received a call while finally sleeping so of course it went to voicemail which turned into phone tag.2 1/2 hrs later I was told take ibuprofen use dental wax and come in Monday because I’m at a conference🤬🤯 that is what 64K gets you these days!?!? I regret ever making this decision!
Litigation? But who? Corporate? Owner? DR? Please help!” — David Moon, May 2025
“Don’t do it!
I CANNOT recommend this place in good conscience. They prioritize money over patient care, and their tactics are deceptive and unethical.
Lack of Transparency & Education – They rush through explanations instead of adequately educating patients.
Unless you specifically ask, they don’t inform you of what you’re entitled to.
Ignoring Established Patients – Once you’re an existing patient, you’re no longer a priority. I have been waiting and begging for two months for a response and still haven’t heard back.
Price Manipulation – They quoted me one price over the phone, but when I arrived to pick it up, they charged 2.5 times more.
Fear Tactics – At my appointment, they claimed I had “limited time” and needed to proceed soon. When I asked about my options, they pushed for what they felt was best. I asked for an estimate of costs, and as mentioned, I am still waiting.
Now, here’s the worst part…
Ten years ago, I had full mouth implants—the most painful experience of my life. Fast forward to now, and I need everything removed, my bone rebuilt, and the entire process redone.
Why? Because I experienced severe bone loss due to issues with vitamin and calcium absorption.
They KNEW my medical history.
They KNEW I had conditions that put me at high risk for this.
Yet, they NEVER warned me.
They saw dollar signs instead of a patient who deserved full disclosure.
And now, I’m left scrambling to figure out how to afford another major procedure—one I NEVER would have gotten if they had been honest from the start.
They don’t see the person struggling to add yet another expense just to be able to do something as basic as eating.
I can now consider legal action, going to a Dental School for a cheaper alternative, or financing for an ethical and caring professional to help.” — Linda Blaylock, February 2025

“I went for my consultation I had full arches done top and bottom and was told the prices that was 30,000 for one type of material and another 15,000 for the new type of material I opted out of the new material and stayed with the 30,000 got financed on the spot had the surgery in October of 2022 everything was fine went back had the temporary teeth put in for 4 months went back again thinking the permanent was gonna be put in and was told I had to pay the 15,000. For the permanent I said that’s not what was explained to me and my sister and thar I was told the older material was just as good as the new material after all it has lasted years and that the new material was only an upgrade my teeth have never fit I can’t eat right I can’t talk right I am continuously drulin food is always stuck I’ve had several infections and in 2 years they have broke 7 times and that has left me with no teeth and the pins exposed slicing the inside of my mouth every time and had to be on antibiotics due to causing infections and having to wait for weeks to get appointment and again on Thanksgiving day they broke again in pieces couldn’t get in for week and a half and since I didn’t have the ones that broke they put in the top plate that I got when I came home from surgery that are so big I can’t eat I can’t talk right and the inside of my mouth gets pinched and as of today February 18 2025 they have been fixing the ones that broke since first week of December 2024 and I was told 4 weeks and now the bottoms are so big and loose that you can see the post and I can put finger under them and touch my tounge I just want what I was told for the 30,000 and now when I go there the doctor is arrogant and I really feel uncomfortable and when I tried to talk to him he told me I was out of my mind that he would never have said 30,000 for full mouth implants and that I can keep the temporary ones and I had to be crazy to think he would ever give anyone that price and I said who in there right mind would pay 30,000 for temporary teeth that you were told you can only eat soft food with and he replied I guess you did I have been so upset over this and so embarrassed to go any place or talk to anyone in person they have caused alot of physical and mental problems it literally depresses me thinking what a mistake I did in trusting them they have shut my life down for almost 3 years I hope no one else ever has to go thru this it has really put me in a bad way health wise and I can’t get nothing resolved .” — Karen Herr, Harrisburg, PA, February 2025
“I went to Clearchoice in 2019 to get my upper teeth done with the “all-on-4”. After x-rays their money girl sat me down and explained how unbelievably expensive it would be to do my upper teeth because I needed bone grafting- I literally had my front 4 teeth left and 1 crowned rear molar. She then proceeded to say that my lower teeth needed to be done too, so I might as well do that. I did. During the procedure they knocked the crown off my one upper molar and knocked the filling out of the back of my front tooth- both items were crammed back in my mouth albeit the front filling was sideways. Because your face feels like it just got hit with a Mack truck I didn’t notice the damage at first, but when I did I brought it up at a visit. I was told by the person dressed as a dentist that they were in fact not dentists. They said they had no ability to repair the damage done and gave me a card for the dentist they liked- that guy wanted over $1200 and Clearchoice would not pay for it! I also had numbness on the left part of my chin but Clearchoice insisted that was normal and would likely go away.
2024…..I finally had enough money to do my upper teeth. I have never set foot in the Clearchoice facility again after the way they behaved. I found a local company to do my upper teeth and amazingness personified I did not need bone grafting at all- I actually needed gum reduction. The beginning of the process was of course x-rays. To my shock and amazement, the numb part of my chin is actually caused by a random 5th screw that is now embedded in my jaw bone, which I was never told about. Then, on April 5th, one of my lower front teeth just broke right off. I was not chewing rocks and had no facial trauma. I went to my current dental office first and they said I should call Clearchoice because the teeth were clearly defective. The receptionist at Clearchoice didn’t want to talk to me. After being on hold forever she got back on the phone to tell me my teeth were over 5 years old and very old in her opinion- nonetheless their warranty for the teeth they claim “will last a lifetime” is only 5 years. I told her fine but they broke which is not normal, so shouldn’t they evaluate the teeth before passing judgement? She said she would schedule the appointment if I gave her a credit card for a minimum $300 charge- really, after they had already stolen tens of thousands of dollars.
I now have broken teeth that are already worth more than most people’s cars and the cost to replace the broken “all-on-4″ is over 15k. I wrote Clearchoice demanding my money back, but they ignored me. I have now filed a complaint with the CA State Dental Board.” — Heather Larson, Roseville, CA, December 2024
